Understand the work

The right charger. A practical plan for your home.

Re-Gen Electrical installs home Level 2 chargers from Tesla, ChargePoint, Emporia and Wallbox, along with other compatible brands. We plan around your vehicle, parking location, charging routine and existing electrical system—then explain the work and options before installation.

How we can help

  • Tesla Wall Connector and Universal Wall Connector installation
  • ChargePoint Home Flex, Emporia, Wallbox and other compatible home chargers
  • Panel condition, electrical load and available-capacity evaluation
  • Compatible EV load-management and priority-switching options
  • Charger placement, circuit routing and equipment connections
  • Planning for a second EV or future electrical needs

Evaluate before you upgrade

An EV charger doesn’t always mean a bigger panel.

A panel upgrade is one possible solution—not an automatic starting point. We review your home’s existing loads and the charging speed you need, then compare suitable options.

With compatible equipment, load management can adjust EV charging around other household demand. In some homes, a listed priority-switching arrangement may also be an option.

EV charging, panels & load management: FAQs.

Which EV charger brands do you install?

We install Tesla Wall Connector and Universal Wall Connector, ChargePoint Home Flex, Emporia and Wallbox home chargers, along with other compatible Level 2 equipment. Share your vehicle and charger model so we can check the connector, installation requirements and fit for your home.

Does an EV charger always require a panel upgrade?

No. We first evaluate your service capacity, panel condition, existing electrical loads and charging needs. Depending on the results, a properly configured lower charging rate, compatible load-management system or approved priority-switching arrangement may allow installation without a panel or service upgrade.

What is EV load management?

Load management coordinates EV charging with the electricity your home is using. Depending on the equipment, it can reduce or pause charging when household demand rises, then increase or resume charging when capacity is available. It requires compatible equipment and proper installation and configuration.

I already have a spa. Could a distribution or priority switch help?

Possibly. A home with a spa may be able to use a suitable load-management controller or listed priority-switching arrangement to prioritize existing loads and reduce or pause EV charging as needed. The right equipment depends on your spa, charger, wiring and service capacity. Re-Gen evaluates the setup and applicable installation requirements before recommending it; a spa circuit cannot automatically be reused or shared.

Is an empty breaker space the same as available electrical capacity?

No. A panel can have open breaker spaces while the electrical service has limited capacity for additional demand. We assess both physical space and the calculated electrical load before planning the charger circuit.

When would a panel or service upgrade still make sense?

An upgrade may be needed if equipment is damaged or unsuitable, the proposed installation cannot meet applicable requirements, or your charging and future electrical needs exceed what a suitable load-management approach can support. We explain the findings and compare the practical options before recommending work.

Can I choose my own charger?

Yes. Send us the model before you buy or install it. We can review compatibility, placement and the required electrical work. Tell us about your daily driving and usual parking time so the charging setup fits your routine.

Do you install chargers at commercial properties?

For workplace or facility charging, use our Commercial & Light Industrial services. We can discuss electrical demand monitoring, equipment connections and expansion planning before chargers are added.
